Today it's harder to finance a house than it's ever been. So many deals are falling through because the banks just aren't lending money. I find, however, that the local small banks have plenty of money to lend. We have had some deals almost fall through, then a local bank comes in and the deal goes through. They appear to be more solvent than their larger counterparts.
